Default Speed Religion.net

Hi guys,

Its been very quiet from my side over the last few months, so I thought it was about time I gave you more of an insight into myself and Speed Religion...

Well as you all know, Pete has moved on to bigger and better things from antandpete to Carbon Black. Over the past 9 months, I have been trying to get Speed Religion launched as a follow on to antandpete. At first it was intended to be my own website that carries on from antandpete and allows antandpete to close its doors gracefully as it’s the end of an era so to speak. In this process, I fully intended to get the new website built and live in December 2007, but somewhere during the build, I thought why make just a replacement website? It should be better; it should be the next level, not just a continuation with a new team... So in January this year, we totally changed the idea and started to create a new business rather than just a new website build and its this that has taken the time.

Speed Religion is going to be the next level up from antandpete and evolve to be a more community based entity that brings like minded people together under the same umbrella to all benefit from increased buying power and offer better products at cheaper prices...

The main Speed Religion site will offer the same type of info that antandpete did, but the bigger picture of Speed Religion will be the enhanced vehicle tuning side of things (including VW/Audi, Seat & Skoda, BMW, Ford etc etc).

We now have a Performance Facility that we have setup in Warrington Cheshire and we have also organised supply terms with some of the biggest names in tuning parts including Brembo, KW Suspension, AP Racing, K&N, AutoGlym, Bilstein, Quaiffe, Pagid, BMW Performance, Sachs Performance Engineering, Fidanza Lightweight Flywheels, Superchips UK etc etc.

We will be operating the vehicle tuning side of things with a mobile UK wide re-map service at preferential rates along side the sales of performance parts and everyday items that we all use, but we will offer them at greatly reduced prices.

Another part of Speed Religion will be supplying popular items that forum 'Group Buys' are sometimes set up for - but without the long wait time and having to get a number of people together at the same time in the first place.

As a Speed Religion member, you can request a product that you are looking to buy, we will organise supply from the manufacturer and offer it back to you and our members at a discounted price... Think of Speed Religion like an online automotive Costco with events, Rally's and trackdays.

So the more items people request, the more we offer, the more members join, the larger the umbrella of people that we bring together, the greater the buying power, the lower the prices.

Time is dragging on now and we may have to launch without everything being 100% at the start. I’m keen to get the ball rolling soon, so you should see some changes in the next week or so. That’s Speed Religion in a nut shell really!

ant.

Just had a quick look at the shop side of the site(which is open now!)

All looks good and some great prices on there. Looking forward to what else you have in store for us all.

Ant, Good luck with new website.

I'd recommend you get involved with performance car forums (for specific cars), where enthusiasts will flock to buy your products. I belong to http://www.skylineowners.com for example, where people seem to spent a fortune on tuning and tuning products. (Although you dont seem to do jap cars, but you get my point )

Cheers Zippy,

The rest of the site will follow soon...

We are currently also working hard on with building the 3.2 M3 Evo Speed Religion race/track car, its going to be wild!

We will be holding a photo shoot soon with the Speed Religion d3, New Focus ST3, M3 Evo and a fantastic E46 M3 CSL GTR all in white with the corporate Speed Religion design, the same as the d3 very soon and desktops and screen savers will follow.

The M3 CSL GTR is owned by a friend that we are sponsoring that will be raced in the BMW Kumho cup the last 2 races of this year and the whole season next year and looks like top finishes should be on the cards!

So we have a lot on at the moment and time is flying by, especialy as I have my first little one on the way and Angela is due in just 5 weeks now!!
